Read the darn rules!
Welcome to the Xholi roleplay boards! Here, you will get the chance to immerse yourself in your newest character and become a part of the growing and evolving Xholi story. To ensure that everyone has fun, there are a couple of rules to follow. New rules will be bolded in white. They are unlikely to change, but please be sure to check back every once in awhile for updates.
1. Authority is as follows:
With this in mind, please respect the requests and instructions of these individuals. They in turn are expected to be reasonable and fair.
2. Account rule: One account per Xholi. Each Xholi is to have a different account made for it. The account name must be the Xholi's name. Do not claim a Xholi as your own if you do not own it/have not won it. Doing so will result in an appropriate punishment. An extra account for out of character posting is required (all non-Xholi characters should be hosted under this account!).
3. Some swearing is allowed, but abusing this or swearing at a user is not. Consequences depend on severity.
4. Content rule:
5. Roleplay rules:
6. Behavior Rules:
7. Spam:
Spam is the posting or PMing out of place messages, links, etc. to the point of being bothersome or irrelevant. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking character too often in a roleplay, posting random words or thoughts in threads where they don't belong, or PMing users unsolicited. Spam will not be tolerated here. Don't do it.
1. Authority is as follows:
- Pack leaders control activity in the pack.
- Moderators control behavior on the boards. They rest above pack leaders. Problems with pack leaders can go to a moderator.
- Administrators are the ultimate authority.
- Gore is allowed, within reason.
- Violence is allowed, within reason.
- Descriptions of sex, breeding, and/or mating is not allowed in any board.
5. Roleplay rules:
- Follow Xholi canon. In Xholi-specific roleplay, you are expected to follow the structures and lore within the Xholi world. If you have not already, please read up on the Lore here.
- No powerplaying. You play your character. Do not take control of another person's xholi. It is rude and will not be tolerated.
- No godmodding. Godmodding is when you give your Xholi unnaturally strong or unbeatable abilities. Again, doing so will result in consequences by staff.
- You may not kill off, fatally wound, or irrevocably damage another Xholi without the express permission of its owner. Xholis can die and be hurt, but please do not inflict this upon anyone else's character unless it has been agreed upon.
- If a roleplay has been marked 'private', do not enter it unless you have been specifically invited by the individuals within the roleplay.
- Posts are expected to be somewhat literate. They do not need to be very long, or particularly perfect, but basic niceties such as spell-checking and grammar checking your work are strongly encouraged. There is a built in spell checker, please use it.
- There is no word minimum, but please be considerate in your roleplay replies. If your partner posts 1000 words, do not reply with only 100 words or vice versa.
6. Behavior Rules:
- You are expected to be civil, kind, and pleasant to other users at all times. Within roleplay, Xholis do not have to be friends. They can dislike each other, but outside the roleplay, all animosity must end. No bullying will be tolerated, and anyone caught being rude or disrespectful will be warned or banned appropriately.
- If you have a problem with a member, please send a PM to an admin describing the issue. Do not bring your argument to the community boards or chat. Likewise if you believe someone is breaking a rule, please notify a staff member, do not handle the situation yourself.
7. Spam:
Spam is the posting or PMing out of place messages, links, etc. to the point of being bothersome or irrelevant. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking character too often in a roleplay, posting random words or thoughts in threads where they don't belong, or PMing users unsolicited.
